Tyler Bennion practices primarily in construction and commercial litigation, representing subcontractors and developers of residential and commercial projects throughout central and south Florida. As part of his comprehensive construction practice, Tyler handles a large portion of Moyer Law Group’s complex stucco, window, and roofing matters, defending various contractors in defect cases for single-family homes, large subdivisions, and high-rise condominiums. In addition to his construction defect cases, Tyler has also defended general contractors and subcontractors related to personal injury claims involving damages in excess of a millions dollars. To ensure his clients obtain the best results, Tyler frequently works hand-in-hand with expert witnesses to analyze complex engineering issues and bodily injury impairment which often helps to transfer liability to other parties.
Prior to joining the Moyer Law Group, Tyler was an Assistant State Attorney in the Sixth Judicial Circuit for approximately three and a half years. While serving as an Assistant State Attorney, Tyler handled thousands of cases ranging from minor misdemeanor charges to serious felony crimes including robbery, attempted murder, burglary, aggravated battery, and trafficking in controlled substances.
After representing the State of Florida in various legal proceedings and serving as first and second chair in over twenty-five trials from his time as a prosecutor, Tyler brings an abundance of litigation and trial experience to the Moyer Law Group, and also supports the firm’s ability to handle matters related to construction contractor crimes. Tyler graduated from Florida State University with a Bachelor of Science degree in Political Science, along with a minor in Economics. He then went on to receive his Juris Doctorate from the University of Florida Levin College of Law. As a native Floridian, Tyler can be found out on the water or playing golf in his spare time.
